VINinventory Mobile Application

This document explains the terms under which you may use the VINinventory mobile application (“App”) and describes how VINspector LLC (“VINspector”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles data within the App and associated services.
By using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
The VINinventory App, owned and operated by VINspector LLC, supports inventory management of vehicle lots and yards. Access is restricted to authorized users with valid credentials.
You may use the App solely for legitimate operational purposes permitted by VINspector LLC or your organization. You may not:

All content, software, images, text, trademarks, and underlying technology in the App are the property of VINspector LLC and are protected by U.S. and international laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content except as permitted for authorized operational use.
Camera Access
The camera is used solely to capture vehicle VIN barcodes. The App has no photographic, video or sound recording capabilities. No biometric, facial recognition, or personal-image analysis is performed.
Network Communication
The App communicates securely with VINspector LLC backend servers to:
No data is transmitted to advertisers, analytics providers, or third-party tracking services.
Stored Data
Vehicle data is uploaded to secure, encrypted Azure cloud storage managed by VINspector LLC. The App does not store personal data long-term on the device; temporary local caching is used only to complete uploads and improve reliability.
No Third-Party Sharing
VINspector LLC does not sell, share, or disclose user data to third parties, except where required to provide contracted services to enterprise customers or to comply with applicable law.
User Accounts
Login credentials are used strictly for authentication and role-based access control within the VINinventory system and are not used to build personal profiles or for advertising.
No Tracking
The App does not collect location data, advertising identifiers, behavioral analytics, or other tracking information for marketing or profiling purposes.
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. VINspector LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or compatibility with all devices and network environments. Users are responsible for determining the suitability of the App for their operational needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VINspector LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to use of, or inability to use, the App. Any direct liability, if established, is limited to the amount paid for use of the App within the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.
Users must comply with applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations when using the App, particularly those related to data handling and export. VINspector LLC maintains industry-standard security practices, including encrypted transmission (TLS), secure authentication, and secure cloud storage.
VINspector LLC may suspend or terminate access to the App at any time for security, operational, or contractual reasons. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete any copies under your control. Any provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and intellectual property protections) shall continue in effect.
These Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the App shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.
To request deletion of your user account or associated inventory data, contact VINspector LLC using the information below. Authorized customer administrators may also request removal of users through their VINspector service agreement.
